What it is

More than refills—care that tracks what’s actually working

Psychiatric medication management is an ongoing process of adjusting and monitoring treatment to make sure it's actually helping—not just being prescribed.

Care includes reviewing your symptoms, managing side effects, and making thoughtful adjustments over time so your treatment stays effective and aligned with how you're feeling.

You'll work with the same provider across visits, allowing for consistent, informed decisions based on your progress—not guesswork.

Who it's for

For adults using or considering psychiatric medication

Medication management is a fit if you:

  • Are currently taking psychiatric medication and want consistent oversight
  • Are starting medication for the first time and want guidance
  • Have tried medication before but didn’t get the right results
  • Want a provider who monitors progress—not just prescribes

You're not locked into anything—treatment decisions are collaborative and adjusted based on what's actually working for you.

How it works

Ongoing care, built around your progress

Appointments are conducted through secure telehealth and typically last 20–30 minutes for follow-ups.

Early on, visits may be more frequent to monitor how you're responding. As things stabilize, appointments become more spaced out while still keeping consistent oversight.

Medication changes, refills, and follow-up care are handled digitally—making it easy to stay on track without unnecessary friction.

Why this approach works

Consistency is what makes treatment effective

Medication is rarely “set it and forget it.” The best outcomes come from consistent check-ins, small adjustments, and a provider who understands your full history.

Telehealth makes it easier to stay consistent—removing barriers like scheduling conflicts, travel, and long wait times.

That consistency is what leads to better results over time.

Medication FAQ

Common questions about medication management

Can you prescribe controlled substances over telehealth?

Some, yes — but with extra requirements. Schedule III–V medications can typically be prescribed via telehealth with identity verification. Schedule II controlled substances (including most stimulants used for ADHD) are governed by evolving federal and Florida state rules that may require a periodic in-person visit. Your provider will tell you exactly what applies to your situation before any prescription is issued.

How often will I have follow-up visits?

Early in care — when starting, switching, or titrating a medication — follow-ups are usually every 4–6 weeks. Once you're stable on a regimen, visits move to every 8–12 weeks. Most plans require a visit at least every 90 days for ongoing prescriptions; we work within that.

How do refills work?

Active prescriptions are refilled at your scheduled follow-ups. Between visits, refill requests sent through your pharmacy or the patient portal are typically turned around within 1–2 business days. Controlled-substance refills require a current active visit cadence.

What if my medication isn't working?

That's the entire point of regular follow-ups. We adjust — dose, timing, switching to a different agent in the same class, augmenting with a second medication, or stepping back if side effects outweigh benefit. The plan is iterative, and nothing is set in stone after one prescription.

Will you coordinate with my primary care doctor or therapist?

Yes, when it helps. With your written consent we can share records and coordinate directly with your PCP, therapist, or any other provider involved in your care. Many medications interact with each other; coordinated care makes that easier to manage.
